The simplest option is to have a hard card and load it before arriving at Bláfjöll.

These cards cost 1,660 ISK and are reusable. They are available at Olís Norðlingaholt and several N1 stations: Ártúnshöfði, Lækjargata Hafnarfjörður, N1 Háholt in Mosfellsbær, and Hveragerði.
Hard cards and reloads can be purchased at N1 Ártúnshöfði, Hafnarfjörður, and Mosfellsbær, with options for 2-hour, 3-hour, or day passes.
Cards and reloads can also be purchased at the Bláfjöll lodge upon arrival, but there may be queues at the ticket office.
Each season pass is assigned to one person. It is not permitted to share season passes between people, nor can children give their day passes to their parents or vice versa. Staff regularly check cards in the area. Card misuse will result in card deactivation.
Winter passes are non-refundable, even during seasons unfavorable for winter sports or closures due to epidemics, etc.
The main reason for the pre-New Year’s discount on winter passes is that guests assume the risk of an unpredictable winter season, which is rewarded with a discount.
Cards starting with number 08- are unfortunately obsolete and can no longer be reloaded. Customers need to purchase a new card to use the lifts.
